Ruysch is inspired by and named after Rachel Ruysch and her perspective of nature’s fleeting beauty. We strive to combine the romanticism of Dutch floral painting with modern sensuality. We find great pleasure in the juxtaposition between nature’s fragility and modern design. The goal of our work is to inspire the feeling of quiet ecstasy that occurs when you stumble upon your favourite piece of art at the Guggenheim.
Sustainability
Ruysch has been thoughtfully developed to have a minimal ecological footprint in an industry that has historically created problematic pollution. All of our products are designed in a way that each element is either compostable, reusable, or recyclable. We are intentional in sourcing all of our materials as locally as possible and support organic flower farms that create thriving ecosystems for important pollinators.
Culture
Ruysch is passionate about providing an inclusive environment for all humans. We strive to create lasting relationships with the individuals and companies that we work with and the ecosystems that we are a part of. We view our actions and our partnerships as an extension of our values. We celebrate the small part that we can play in creating a more equitable environment for all.
